Flights cancelled and diverted at Brisbane Airport by fog

More than 100 flights affected by thick fog this Friday at Brisbane Airport, in Australia. The Brisbane International Airport has been affected by a very thick fog that started at 8pm last Friday and continued during Saturday, described by a Airport spokeswoman as incredibly unusual. At least 30 flights were diverted to the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney, and others 80 flights were cancelled. Authorities at the airport recommended passengers to keep in close contact with their airline for updates.

Qantas flight forced to land in Sydney

A flight of Qantas from Australia to United States makes landing in Sydney after dumping fuel at sea. The flight QF93, operated with an Airbus A380, was on the route from Melbourne to Los Angeles when emergency light came on in the cockpit about one hour after take off. American Airlines Flight 730 from Charlotte to London returned to the airport due to mechanical problems. The flight took off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) at 7:00pm yesterday Wednesday heading to London-Heathrow Airport (LHR), when suffered mechanical issues over West Virginia. The aircraft with 258 passengers and 16 crew members on board has been circling Davidson County for about 2 hours to burn off fuel due to weight which is standard, and landed safely in Charlotte where the passengers boarded another plane to London.
