The new Chilean low cost airline JetSMART has received an Airbus A320, the first of three that the company will fly.
JetSMART is part of the portfolio of airline Indigo Partners of United States, expert operators in Europe and United States, and it promises to revolutionize the air market in Chile with super low prices.
Its first airplane, an Airbus A320-232 CC-AWA, arrived on June 15th to the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL), in Santiago, where the company will have its base. The aircraft, coming from the facilities of Airbus in France, is characterized by the image of an Austral Peregrine Falcon in its tail, and was baptized as Akori. This airplane is configured with 31 rows and 186 seats in a single class.
As mentioned JetSMART, is working to obtain the AOC (acronym for the air operator’s certificate). As soon as it is obtained, the routes will be announced, and which should end 2017 with 3 aircraft, waiting for the A320neo for next year.
Although initially will fly only domestic routes in Chile, they will later expand to the South American market.
