The Mexican airline begins to operate routes between Mexico and Canada this month.
Interjet has started its first flights to Canada this week. Flights operate routes from the Mexico City International Airport (MEX) and Cancún International Airport (CUN) to Montreal International Airport (YUL) with Airbus A320 aircraft three times a week.
In addition to these routes, Interjet will begin to fly the route from México city and Cancún to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) since July 28.
According to Philippe Rainville, President and CEO of Interjet, the market of travel for pleasure or business between Canada and Mexico is growing, and the new air routes will benefit transport and the relationship between both markets.
The new flights of the company represent a competition for other airlines which operate flights between the cities mentioned, such as Air Canada, Sunwing Airlines, Aeroméxico and Air Transat.
