In the coming months, the airline will stop operating one of its flights to JFK and add a daily nonstop to Newark.
Emirates reported a change in flights between Dubai and New York. The airline decided to suspend the operation of flight EK207/208 that connects the Dubai International Airport (DXB), in the United Arab Emirates, with the New York-John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), of the United States. The suspension of this flight will take place on March 25 next.
Meanwhile, Emirates will add a nonstop daily flight between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Newark Liberty Airport (EWR) from June 1.
The new flight will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 8 suites in First Class, 42 seats in Business Class, 306 seats in Economy Class and 19 tons of cargo capacity.
The flight schedule will be as follows:
- Flight EK223, departs of Dubai at 03:00 local time and arrives to Newark at 09:00.
- Flight EK224, departs of Newark at 11:50, arriving in Dubai at 08:20 the next day.
Thanks to this new nonstop flight, passengers have the possibility to arrive in Newark in the morning as well as take off at that time of day.
The morning arrival in the UAE also means that travelers heading to Southeast Asia or Oceania can conveniently explore the city of Dubai on a one-day stopover, before boarding a nightly connection to another destination on the global network of Emirates.
Concluding the news and taking into account the suspended flight to JFK plus the new one to Newark, the connections from June 1 between Dubai and the metropolitan area of New York, will be as follows:
- Dubai – Nueva York John F Kennedy: Three daily flights. Two direct and one with a stop in Milan, Italy.
- Dubai – Nueva York Newark: Two daily flights. The new direct flight and an existing one with a stop in Athens, Greece.
