Five weekly flights will link Dubai and Santiago, with stops in São Paulo.
The airline Emirates will start a new route to Latin America. The capital of Chile, Santiago, will become the fourth destination of the company in South America from next July 5.
Flights between Dubai and Santiago will take a stopover in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, so the stretch between the last two cities will also be exploited.
Emirates currently flies to São Paulo with daily flights operated with the Airbus A380, to which the additional five of the new route will be added.
The flights between the Dubai International Airport (DXB), the São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) and the Santiago International Airport (SCL), will be operated with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft configured in two classes: 38 seats in Business Class and 264 in Economic Class.
The aircraft also have a capacity of 14 tons of cargo, which will be useful for Chilean exports.
The Emirates route starts on July 5 and the flight schedule is as follows:
- Flight EK263. Departs from Dubai at 09:05 local time, arrives São Paulo at 17:00. Then departs from São Paulo at 18:30 and arrives in Santiago at 21:40. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturday and Sundays.
- Flight EK264. Departs from Santiago at 01:10 local time, arriving in São Paulo at 05:55. Then part of São Paulo at 07:45, arriving in Dubai at 05:15 the next day. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturday and Sundays.
