The young man made a stopover in Russia while was deported from Spain to Armenia.
Albert Epremian was a young man of 25 years who on the night of November 21st was at the Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO), making a stop while was deported from Spain to his native country, Armenia.
According to the Russian security services, Epremian caused a fight aboard the Aeroflot plane that was moving him from Spain to Russia. When he arrived in Moscow, was questioned about the incident and an administrative file was opened.
Later, while all the passengers boarded the plane that would take off towards Yerevan, Armenia, the young man separated from the group. Instead of taking the bus that moves passengers between the terminal and the plane, Epremian escaped on the runway, being run over by a Boeing 737 of Aeroflot airline that was preparing to take off for Athens.
At first, the pilots of the aircraft suspected that they struck with a small animal like a hare, but once in Greece, they found human remains and a significant deterioration in the aircraft. On the other hand, the personnel of the Sheremetyevo Airport later found the young man’s remains on the runway, which were next to his personal belongings.
The reasons why the Armenian citizen left the group and ran to the runway are still unknown. Meanwhile, the federal agency for the supervision of transport of Russia opened a file on the case, ensuring that it will investigate the security services and the organization.
For its part, the prosecution of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case for the violation of security requirements in air transport.
