The incident happened on Thursday was attributed to bad weather over the city of Kyiv, Ukraine.
A McDonnell Douglas MD-83 plane with registration UR-CPR, belonging to the Ukrainian charter airline Bravo Airways, left the runway on Thursday, June 14, while landing at Kyiv-Zhuliany Airport (IEV).
The aircraft operated flight BAY4406 from Antalya, Turkey, with 169 occupants on board. The landing took place at 20:40 local time and due to unknown reasons, the plane left the runway to stop on the grass a few meters away from it.
The airport’s emergency services acted quickly and helped evacuate passengers through the slides.
