The airline plans to acquire up to forty second-hand aircraft.
Today, it was known the plan of United Airlines to buy between thirty and forty Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
Sources close to the airline added that some aircraft would be those used currently by EasyJet, and that most of the aircraft acquired would be A319.
The purchase agreement would already be imminent, according to an internal statement provided by United to its pilots.
The airline currently flies with sixty-six Airbus A319-100 aircraft and ninety-eight A320-200 aircraft. United is also in the process of adding up to 25 Airbus A319-100 ex-China Southern Airlines aircraft on an unmanned AerCap lease.
