Thomas Cook flight returns to Manchester after burning smell spread through the plane

A flight from Manchester to Los Angeles was diverted back, after burning smell spread through the aircraft. The Thomas Cook aircraft was operating the flight MT2824 from Manchester International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport today, when a smell of burning spread through the plane, coming from one of the ovens. For safety reasons the flight was diverted back to Manchester where the fire service boarded the aircraft as part of the safety check and the aircraft was cleared to fly again, but the crew is unable to operate the route…

Check in system failures cause delays in Manchester

Passengers of Thomas Cook Airlines flights were affected by delays due to a failure in the system of Check in. An issue with overnight maintenance would have caused a fail in the system, that caused delays of up to 3 hours on 12 flights in the Manchester Airport (MAN). Other airlines including Cathay Pacific, SAS, Virgin and Singapore Airlines were also affected. Manchester Airport said: “Due to a technical issue this morning several airlines are having to check in passengers manually, which can take longer than normal.”

Meet the new Level’s aircraft

The last Friday appeared the first images of the first aircraft with the livery of the new airline Level. This Airbus A330 and registration EC-MOU will operate since June the route Barcelona-Buenos Aires, and has only 2 years old. The airbus was delivered to Iberia in the month of April, and arrived at Manchester Airport on May 5 to be painted with the new colors.
