A group of Italian pilots intends to strike next week.
The low-cost airline Ryanair could face the first pilot strike in its history. A group of Italian pilots belonging to ANPAC, an Italian union not recognized by the company, plans to strike on Friday, December 15, stopping their activities for four hours.
The strike would take place between 14 and 18 hours and its main reasons are the claims for better conditions and a review of the collective bargaining system of Ryanair.
For its part, Ryanair has stated that the union, which brings together 280 of the 4 thousand pilots of the airline, “has no role” in the company and rules out that the pilots adhere to the strike, saying also, that it is the sixth strike planned by these unions, of which 5 previous ones were finally canceled by the same ones.
