Workers of the Spanish airline in Barcelona will paralyze their tasks for four hours between the 21st and the 24th of this month.
Numerous Iberia workers who work at Barcelona-El Prat International Airport have called a strike for December 21, 22, 23 and 24, where they will paralyze all their activities for a period of 4 hours in different time zones of each day.
The reason for the strike is based on the “lack of dialogue” on the part of the airline, according to UGT, the majority union. The workers of Iberia in Barcelona demand an industrial plan that contemplates the necessary hiring of personnel to solve the overload of work. In addition, the union ensures that Iberia owes more than 7,000 hours of rest to the staff in return of days, which can not be done due to lack of personnel.
Currently, some 2,000 Iberia employees work in Barcelona performing maintenance tasks on aircraft and Handling jobs.
