Hurricane Irma: Delta updated the status of its operations in affected areas

Delta Air Lines team is constantly monitoring the progress of Hurricane Irma, especially by the possibility of damages in the State of Georgia and the city of Atlanta, where the airline has its base and main hub.

For the day Monday is expected heavy rains and winds in the State of Georgia and Delta is advising customers who are in transit through its Atlanta’s hub modify their itineraries around ATL on the website of the airline.

Delta operated an extra flight on Sunday between Atlanta and San Juan, Puerto Rico, to assist the recovery of the Caribbean.

Delta has combined and consolidated fee waiver through September 17 for customers who travel three dozens of destinations where flights will be affected by Irma and has created a new exemption for St. Thomas, St. Maarten and Turks and Caicos for passengers ticketed through October 31.
