Flydubai plane cancels takeoff in Ukraine due to engine problems

The aircraft made two takeoff attempts at Kyiv Airport.

A Boeing 737-800 aircraft and registration A6-FDQ belonging to flydubai suffered engine problems when taking off at Kyiv Igor Sikorsky International Airport (IEV), also known as Zhuliany Airport.

The aircraft was making the flight FZ-744 that links the capital of Ukraine with the Dubai International Airport (DXB) on November 22.

The plane was accelerating on runway number 26 when the pilots decided to abort the takeoff at low speed. Then they returned the waiting point.

After a few minutes, the crew made a second takeoff attempt. The pilots accelerated the engines already on the runway producing violent vibrations in the airplane, according to the story of some passengers. After removing the brakes, the plane began to roll down the runway and a few seconds later pilots decided to abort the takeoff again, returning the plane to the boarding platform.

A technical problem in one of the engines was the reason why the take-offs were canceled. The plane remained at the airport until the next day when it returned to service.
