The Panamanian airline reported the possibility of reimbursing affected passengers.
Copa Airlines will offer the possibility of reimbursing unused tickets to and from Venezuela, without any type of penalty and for the entire amount.
The decision has been announced after the South American country suspended all operations of the airline for 90 days.
This measure applies to all Copa Airlines passengers who have tickets to Venezuela and have not yet used them, as well as those who have already started their flight, who can reimburse the unused return ticket without penalty.
The company in the statement added: “Additionally, passengers who prefer to change their final destination, may do so without charge before April 20 and to travel before July 4.”
Copa Airlines reported that passengers flying from Mexico and North America to Venezuela will have the possibility to change their final destination to any destination in Panama, Central America, the Caribbean, Guyana, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia.
Meanwhile, those flying between Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile to Venezuela, may change their final destination to destinations in Panama, Central America, the Caribbean, Guyana, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia.
On the other hand, passengers with tickets between Central America, Panama, the Caribbean, Guyana, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Venezuela, may change their destination to Panama, Central America, the Caribbean, Guyana, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia.
