Gatwick runway closed because of a drone

A drone caused the closure of the runway at Gatwick Airport yesterday, police is investigating. On Sunday evening an incident with a drone flying in the vicinity of the airfield caused the closure of the runway at the airport of London-Gatwick for two short periods. The runway was closed between 6:10pm and 6:19pm, and 6:36 and 6:41pm, and some flights were diverted, mainly those belonging to Easyjet, the biggest airline at Gatwick, to other airports like Bournemouth, Southend and Stansted.
