Mandarin Airlines signs an order for six ATR 72-600

The Taiwanese airline, subsidiary of China Airlines, becomes the new ATR’s customer. Mandarin Airlines has ordered 6 ATR 72-600 aircraft, valued at $160 million dollars, becoming a new operator of ATR aircraft which will be used on domestic routes. The Franco-Italian turboprop manufacturer hopes to extend this contract of sale with another to provide engineering and technical support to China Airlines and all its subsidiaries to set up in-house capabilities for ATR heavy maintenance, up to C checks.
