The airline Lion Air was the first to receive the aircraft.
Boeing and Lion Air today celebrated the first delivery of the Boeing 737-9 MAX 9. The new aircraft, with a capacity of up to 220 passengers and a range of 3,550 nautical miles (6,574 kilometers), will allow the Asian airline based in Indonesia, increase its network of destinations and launch more international routes.
The new 737-9 MAX 9 has three additional rows of seats compared to the 737 MAX 8, providing greater capacity and profitability on the routes.
Lion Air was also the first airline to fly with the MAX 8 and announced a commitment for 50 MAX 10 aircraft. Meanwhile, the group already has an additional 200 737 MAX in order and is one of the 737 largest operators in the world.
