Belongings stolen in the Khabarovsk air tragedy

A young man arrested for stealing belongings from people killed by the plane that fell in Russia.

Authorities have arrested a young man suspected of having stolen two digital tablets and cell phones belonging to the occupants of the Let L-410 plane that fell on November 15 in the Khabarovsk Krai, in eastern Russia.

Today the press service of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia for the territory of Khabarovsk announced that a young man took advantage of the moment and stole the belongings of the deceased. The theft figure amounts to about 63,000 rubles ($ 1,076).

Subsequently, the thief “was taken to criminal liability for the commission of crimes against property,” the press service said.

The plane crashed when it was about to land in the small town of Nelkan. Two pilots and five passengers were traveling on board, only one girl survived.
