American Airlines aircraft must return to the airport due to mechanical issues

American Airlines Flight 730 from Charlotte to London returned to the airport due to mechanical problems.

The flight took off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) at 7:00pm yesterday Wednesday heading to London-Heathrow Airport (LHR), when suffered mechanical issues over West Virginia.

The aircraft with 258 passengers and 16 crew members on board has been circling Davidson County for about 2 hours to burn off fuel due to weight which is standard, and landed safely in Charlotte where the passengers boarded another plane to London.
