The aircraft was in the city of Doha and suffered considerable damage.
An Airbus A321-200 with A7-AIB registration of Qatar Airways caught fire last December 8 while it was parked at Doha Airport, in Qatar.
The aircraft made its last flight on the 6th of this month between Moscow and Doha, and then it was parked in a remote position of the airport to receive maintenance tasks on the on-board entertainment system and satellite antenna.
The fire started at 06:50 local time on the roof of the plane above the main cabin and, although it was quickly extinguished, it reached to consume a good part of the Airbus A321, which could now be removed from service.
No injuries were recorded by the fire.
