An agreement will allow flights between Cape Verde and China

The negotiations would end in mid-2018.

The visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cape Verde to China had in his agenda the field of aviation. Both countries are negotiating an agreement that will allow companies Beijing Capital Airlines and TACV Cabo Verde Airlines to fly between the two countries.

The announcement was made on November 9 when the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cape Verde, Luis Filipe Tavares, completed a five-day visit to the People’s Republic of China, where he met with his counterpart Wang Yi.

There are still some pending negotiations regarding the air agreement that should be concluded by mid-2018.

The meeting also served the authorities of both countries to discuss other issues such as defense, territorial planning, port security and maritime economy.
